Roger Lin Maltbie was born in Modesto, California on June 30, 1951. Roger played on the PGA Tour and is an on-course analyst for NBC Sports and ESPN. Roger grew up in San Jose, CA. where he attended James Lick High School. Maltbie was a member of the golf team at both San Jose City College (1970–1971) and San Jose State University (1972). Maltbie turned pro in 1973. He started playing on the PGA Tour in 1974. He was on the Tour full-time from 1975 – 1996. Maltbie won five official PGA Tour eve
